Wool hats and beanies in merino wool

The material makes a big difference when choosing a wool hat. In the selection, you will find brands such as Colorful Standard and S.N.S. Herning, who work with 100% merino wool, among other things. Merino wool is naturally temperature-regulating and breathable. At the same time, the fibers are so fine that you avoid the itchy sensation that often accompanies traditional knit hats. Many of our beanies are made from recycled materials and have a firm rib knit that ensures the hat keeps its shape over time.

A good beanie can be worn in several ways, depending on your preference. You can pull it well down over your ears to block out the cold, or let it sit a little higher on your head. Q: Do your wool hats itch?
A: Most of the wool hats we stock at Kyoto are made of merino wool. The wool fibers are thin and soft, which means the hat rarely itches, but rather feels pleasant against the skin.

Q: What is the best way to wash my knitted hat?
A: We recommend washing wool hats by hand or on the washing machine's wool cycle at a maximum of 30 degrees and using a wool detergent. Always let the hat dry flat on a towel so that it does not lose its shape.

Q: Are your beanies suitable for both men and women?
A: Yes, the vast majority of our beanies and hats are unisex and made in one size. The flexible knit means that the hat easily stretches and adapts to the shape of the head.
