Kyoto is one of Copenhagen’s most unique multi-brand stores, located in the well-known Vesterbro district of Copenhagen.
We specialise in renowned brands within men’s and women’s fashion, popular sneakers, and accessories.
The story of our store began back in 2001. Kristian, the owner of the store, was 25 years old and had long dreamed of opening his own shop.
At the time, Kristian worked at the streetwear store Fightball in Copenhagen’s city centre, and one random day he chose to cycle a different route to work.
He passed through Istedgade, as he had always had a fondness for Vesterbro. He noticed a “for sale” sign and thought it looked interesting. He fell in love with the space and invested almost everything he owned to make it happen. That marked the beginning of his entrepreneurial journey. Three months later, on December 13th, 2001, he opened the doors to his very own store.
We are proud of our unique selection, rooted in Scandinavian fashion. Our collections are carefully curated and reflect current trends and tendencies while staying true to Kyoto’s unique brand identity.
